How to Enable or Disable display_errors in DirectAdmin

The display_errors setting in PHP controls whether or not PHP error messages are shown on your site, which is helpful for debugging but may reveal sensitive information. Here’s how to turn it on or off in DirectAdmin:

Step 1: Log in to DirectAdmin

  1. Log in to your DirectAdmin account.

Step 2: Go to PHP Settings

  1. In the main menu, go to Account Manager and select PHP Settings.

Step 3: Locate display_errors

  1. On the PHP Settings page, find the display_errors option in the dropdown list.

Step 4: Set Display Errors to On or Off

  1. In the value dropdown for display_errors, select On to enable error display or Off to disable it.
  2. Click Add to save your changes.

Step 5: Confirm the Change

  1. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the page, indicating the display_errors setting has been successfully updated.

You have now updated the display_errors setting in DirectAdmin, enabling or disabling PHP error display as needed.
