How to Point MX Records in Cloudflare to Yash Host

👉 Setting up MX records in Cloudflare ensures your domain’s email is properly routed to Yash Host’s servers. Follow these steps to configure MX records efficiently:

Steps to Point MX Records

1️⃣ Login to Cloudflare:

2️⃣ Select Your Domain:

  • On the dashboard, locate the domain for which you want to configure the MX records and click on it.

3️⃣ Navigate to DNS Settings:

  • In the domain’s dashboard, select the DNS tab from the top menu.

4️⃣ Add a New MX Record:

  • Click the Add Record button and configure the MX record with the following details:

Type:

  • Select MX as the record type from the dropdown menu.

Name:

  • Enter @ if the record applies to your root domain (e.g., example.com).
  • For email on a subdomain, enter the full subdomain (e.g., mail.example.com).

Mail Server:

  • Enter the domain name of Yash Host’s mail server: webhosting.dnsco.in.

Priority:

  • Set a priority value based on your email provider’s recommendation.
  • Example:
    • If using multiple MX records, a lower number (e.g., 10) has higher priority.
    • If only one record is needed, you can use 0 as the default.

Proxy Status:

  • Ensure the proxy status is set to DNS only (gray cloud icon).
  • Cloudflare automatically bypasses its proxy for MX records to ensure proper email delivery.

Save Changes

  • After filling in the details, click Save to apply the record.

Propagation Time

  • Wait for 15-30 minutes for the changes to take effect.

💡 Note:

  • Verify the setup by using tools like MXToolbox to check if the MX records are correctly pointing to webhosting.dnsco.in.
  • Incorrectly configured MX records can lead to email delivery issues, so double-check the details before saving.

Happy Hosting! 🌟
