How to Create Vacation Messages in DirectAdmin
Creating a vacation message (auto-responder) in DirectAdmin allows you to automatically reply to emails while you’re away. Here’s a step-by-step guide on setting up a vacation message for your email account in DirectAdmin.
Step 1: Log in to DirectAdmin
- Log in to your DirectAdmin account with your credentials.

Step 2: Go to Vacation Messages
- In the left sidebar, navigate to the Email Manager section.

- Click on Vacation Messages.

Step 3: Set Up a New Vacation Message
- On the Vacation Messages page, click on Set Vacation Message (plus icon) to create a new vacation message.
- A form will appear where you can configure the vacation message settings.

Step 4: Configure Vacation Message Settings
- Vacation Account: Select the email account for which you want to set up the vacation message.
- Subject Prefix: Enter a subject line prefix, such as “Out of Office” or “Away until [Date]”.
- Vacation Period: Specify the start and end dates for the vacation message.
- Content-Type: Select the type of content, usually set to plain text or HTML.
- Reply Frequency: Determine how often the vacation message will be sent to the same sender (e.g., once per day).
- Vacation Message: Write the message that will be sent in response to incoming emails. Include details like your return date and alternative contacts if necessary.

Step 5: Save the Vacation Message
- After configuring all the settings, click Create to activate the vacation message for the selected email account.

Your vacation message is now active and will automatically respond to incoming emails based on the frequency you set.
