How to Use the Thumbnailer Tool in cPanel

The Thumbnailer tool in cPanel lets you create smaller versions (thumbnails) of all images in a directory, which can improve page load times for image-heavy websites. Here’s how to use it.

Step 1: Log in to cPanel

  • Begin by logging into your cPanel account.

Step 2: Go to the Images Section

  • In your cPanel dashboard, scroll down to the Files section and select Images.

Step 3: Select the Thumbnailer Tool

  • Once in the Images section, you’ll see options for Thumbnailer, Scaler, and Converter. Click Thumbnailer to open the tool.

Step 4: Choose a Directory to Thumbnail

  • The Thumbnailer tool will display your directory structure. Navigate to the folder containing the images you wish to thumbnail and click on it to select.

Step 5: Set Thumbnail Dimensions

  • Enter the dimensions for your thumbnail images. You can specify a percentage to scale down the images or enter exact dimensions.

Step 6: Create Thumbnails

  • After setting the dimensions, click the Thumbnail Images button. The tool will create smaller versions of each image in the selected directory.

Step 7: Confirmation

  • Once the process is complete, a confirmation message will appear, indicating that your thumbnails have been successfully created.

Your images are now ready as optimized thumbnails for faster loading and better performance!
