How to Enable or Disable SMTP Restrictions in WHM
Enabling or disabling SMTP restrictions in WHM (Web Host Manager) can help control the use of mail-sending scripts on the server and prevent spam. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to manage SMTP restrictions.
Step 1: Log in to WHM
- Start by logging into your WHM account with root credentials.

Step 2: Access the “SMTP Restrictions” Option
- In the WHM dashboard, locate the Search bar on the left side of the screen.
- Type SMTP Restrictions to quickly find the option.

Step 3: Open the “SMTP Restrictions” Section
- Click on SMTP Restrictions under the Security Center section.
Step 4: Enable or Disable SMTP Restrictions
- On the SMTP Restrictions page, you will see the option to enable or disable this feature:
- To Enable SMTP Restrictions, click the Enable button. This will restrict outgoing email access to prevent unauthorized scripts or users from sending mail.
